Spis treści audycji
„Wieczór płytowy” 1983-1991 gatunkami
Szczególnie dużo miejsca w audycji zajmowały prezentacje płyt wykonawców rockowych wydane w latach 80. Było to oczywiste, bo ludzie po to wówczas słuchali Polskiego Radia, aby z niego za darmo nagrać sobie płyty jakich nie mogli sobie kupić. A nie mogli tego zrobić, bo były one wtedy w Polsce niedostępne, a jak już były, to najczęściej za sumy przekraczające wyobraźnie przeciętnego człowieka. Przedstawiane wówczas w tej audycji płyty były nowościami, a obecnie są to już powszechnie uznane klasyki gatunku.
W ramach gatunku zwanego rockiem prezentowano wszelkie jego style, od pop rocka np. „Avalon” Roxy Music (1982), pop rock kobiecy, np. Kate Busch – "The Hounds Of Love” (1985), jazz-pop np. Sting – „The Dream Of The Blue Turtles” (1985), nowe płyty dawnych mistrzów, zarówno tych bardziej progresywnych np. Pink Floyd – „The Momenthary Lapse Of Reason” (1987) jak i hard rockowych np. Deep Purple – „Perfect Strangers” (1984).
Przede wszystkim jednak grano nowych wykonawców, których wielka kariera rozpoczęła się w tej dekadzie np. U2 – „The Joshua Tree” (1987), Guns N’Roses – „Appetite For Destruction” (1987), Depeche Mode – „Music For The Mases” (1987), The Cure – „Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me” (1987). Ważne miejsce wśród tych płyt odgrywały albumy przygotowane przez kobiety: bliższe rocka np. Sinead O'Connor – „The Lions Of The Cobra” (1987), bardziej popowe np. Suzanne Vega – Solitude Standing” (1987), czy też bardziej awangardową jak Laurie Anderson – „Mr. Heartbreak” (1983).
Ale oczywiście prym wiedli męscy wokaliści np. Roger Waters – „The Pros And Cons Of Hitchhiking” (1984), będący głosem ówczesnego pokolenia Amerykanów Bruce Springsteen – „Born In The USA” (1984) czy też bardziej odlotowi w rodzaju praktycznie nieznanego wtedy u nas w kraju Toma Waitsa – „Swordfishtrombones” (1983). Inni zachwycali się przebojowymi nagraniami Gary Morre’a – "After The War" (1988) czy też wciąż mało znaną ale ciągle rosnącą gwiazdą Nicka Cave’a i jego zespołu The Bad Seeds – „The Good Son” (1990). Inni woleli posłuchać klasycznego hard rocka np. Van Halen – „1984” (1984) czy też jego bardziej bluesowej formy stworzonej przez mega popularny wówczas zespół ZZ Top – „Eliminator” (1983).
Z kolei fani poszukujący czegoś bardziej szczególnego mogli w audycji posłuchać też bardziej wyszukanych, choć w większości niszowych wykonawców. Zaprezentowano tu bowiem m.in. płyty Fisha – „Vigil In Wilderness Of Mirrors” (1990), Field The Nephilim – „The Nephilim” (1988), Dead Can Dance – „Dead Can Dance” (1984), The The – „The Infected” (1986). Niektórzy z nich, w tym czasie, byli dość popularni np. The Cult „Love” (1985), czy też The Sisters Of Merrcy – „Floodland” (1987), ale po latach 80. ich kariera przyhamowała.
Wielką popularnością cieszyły się prezentacje muzyki elektronicznej np. Jean Michell Jarre – „Les Concerets En Chine” (1982), a zwłaszcza gdy przy tej okazji jakiś jej wykonawca koncertował w Polsce. Z tego powodu wielkim uznaniem cieszył się album „Dziękuję Poland” (1983) firmowany wspólnie przez Klausa Schulze i Rainera Blossa, czy też koncertowy album „Poland” (1984) zespołu Tangerine Dream.
Wielu fanów miała też przeżywająca wówczas swoje narodziny bardziej radykalna muzyka metalowa, stąd z entuzjazmem słuchano albumów Metaliki m.in. „Masters Of Puppets” (1986) czy też płyty „South Of Heaven” (1988) Slayera. Inni woleli coś bardziej klasycznego, a więc płytę „Signals” (1982) zespołu Rush, czy też bardziej komercyjnego np. Whitesnake – „1987” (1987). Jeszcze inni byli wierni dawnym klasykom podziwiając nie zawsze w pełni udane ich albumy np. „Undecover” (1983) zespołu The Rolling Stones.
Wielu fanów czekało zawsze z niecierpliwością na prezentację w audycji kolejnych albumów zespołu Marillion w tym na płytę „Misplaced Childhood” (1985), czy też na płyty zespołu Iron Maiden np. na „Seven Son Of Seven Son” (1988).
Jedno jest pewne, czy w przypadku wykonawców znanych, czy też nieznanych większość z nich nigdy nie byłaby już w wolnej Polsce popularna, gdyby ich płyt nie zaprezentowano wcześniej w tej audycji.
